NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #1 (June 19, 2002)
Emanating from the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama for the first episode of NWA-TNA. Doing ring announcing for the evening is Jeremy Borash who introduces the commentators. Out first is Don West who hypes up the crowd a bit in a Hawaiian shirt. He introduces Ed Ferrara who will join himself and Mike Tenay, who's already at the commentary booth. Tenay welcomes us to the show who says it's all about Total Nonstrop Action, an evening that revolves around history on so many fronts. He says they'll be respecting history, the legends of the NWA are in attendance, like Harley Race, Dory Funk Jr. and Ricky Steamboat. He also mentions they'll be making history in crowning an NWA World Heavyweight Champion in what's being called the Gauntlet for the Gold, which starts as a Royal Rumble until it gets to the final two, where it's one fall to a finish.
