NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #20 (November 6, 2002)

We start with a look at the NWA 54th anniversary show. Notably, Jorge Estrada won the NWA North American Championship, Truth successfully defended against Hot Stuff Hernandez, and AMW retained as well as Styles. Tenay welcomes us and West runs down the card: - Jarrett vs Hennig in what's billed as a "return grudge match" - Syxx-Pac vs Brian Lawler in a tournament match, plus April is on the line - AJ Styles defends the X Division Championship against Jerry Lynn - Jorge Estrada faces Bruce, with Bruce's Miss TNA title on the line for Priscilla Speaking of which, we get a recap of the issues between Mortimer and Estrada from the last couple weeks. First though, Goldilocks is backstage with Bruce, and a returning Lenny Lane of their Rainbow Express tag team. Bruce has the camera pan down to his heel shoes, and he won't let Goldy borrow them. She says there's been speculation about Bruce, but that he truly is a bitch. Then she asks for an update on the Express, ha...

NWA/TNA Weekly PPV #19 (October 30, 2002)

Tony Mamaluke v Kid Kash No time to waste, as we get to a match about 30 seconds into the episode, after being welcomed by Tenay. Some quick chain wrestling to start the match along with a few quick pin attempts. Series of roll up counters then arm drags by Mamaluke. Kash with some arm drags sends Mamaluke to the outside.We also learn of an 8-man tournament starting tonight to find a #1 contender for the World Title.  Kash with a crossbody takes Mamaluke to the floor.  Back in the ring, Mamaluke sent to the corner for a clothesline, then across the ring but Kash is sent intot he middle turnbuckle. Neckbreaker by Mamaluke for two. Exchange of blows as Mamaluke takes Kash in the corner with knees, then Kash sent off the ropes, slips behind with a pumphandle neckbreaker. Kash with a modified STF until Mamaluke gets to the ropes. Kash pulled through the ropes to the apron before getting knocked off, and Mamaluke follows with a baseball slide.   Welcomed to the show as always by Tenay and West who run down some of the card for tonight: - Sonny Siaki vs Jerry Lynn - Jeff Jarrett vs Scott Hall  - In a rematch from last week, Truth defends the NWA Title once more against Curt Hennig 5-Man X Division Elimination Match: The Amazing Red vs Kid Kash vs Joel Maximo vs Jose Maximo vs "Primetime" Elix Skipper Pre-Match : No one gets a proper entrance, they all just kinda run out together one after the other and get a brief ring introduction from Borash. Elix goes after... you know after 17 episodes I  still can't tell which Maximo is who. Like at one point only one of them had elbow pads, but then I could still never remember week to week which one that was, and it took forever for commentary to say it. Now they both wear elbow pads. Anyways Elix attacks one while Red and the other take Kash to the corner, Elix sent off the ropes, sets the Maximo on the ropes and dropkicks him to the floor. Red is popped up by the other ...
